My 1st Wedding Anniversary & My Wife's 27th Birthday!

My 1st Wedding Anniversary & My Wife's 27th Birthday!

20th May, A day which I celebrates my Wedding Anniversary & My Wife's Birthday :)

Sadly, I still got to work in the wee hours of this special day. But something really hearten my mood during work. I have a friend who also shares the wedding anniversary date as mine, but he is 5 years my senior. Before we end our "staircase" work, we greeted each other "Happy 1st & 5th Anniversary" and wished us to have a wonderful time with our partners tonight. :)

After some 15 hours of beauty sleep, I fetch my my wife at Bt Merah. After "playing" with Nicholas for awhile, we proceed fo our 1st anniversary & her 27th birthday dinner.

We decided to go to Jack's Place (Jac-lyn is her name, so Jac's Place) @ Bras Basah for our romantic dinner.

Hmm... Why Bras Basah? Because we feel that we should enjoy our anniversary dinner at this old yet lasting outlet of Jack's Place, so that our LOVE will be long lasting. Hahaha :D (Believe my nonsense?)

When we reached there about 6pm, it seems 1/4 filled. Thought it was rather "high class" that's why no so many patrons. We will quite lucky to be early and greeted by 1 polite, pleasant & attentive waiter.

He not only greeted us with a smiling face, he also take the initiative & opportunity of the not that much patrons, and assigned a corner seats for us to enjoy our romantic candlelight dinner ;)

You saw the "Heart Shaped"? thats where we spend our romantic candlelight dinner :)

After a heavy dinner, we decided to take some deserts at the Haagen Dazs (Raffles City) outlet.

Before we proceed for our desert, we went to enjoy this once in a lifetime Balloon Flight organised by DHL. Wow... Its so exciting! We are going onboard on this big balloon which going to bring us up 150 metres above ground, that is about 75 floors high. Our "Pilot" namely: James, had briefed us on the safety regulation before the Balloon took off. It is moving slowly & I can feel that Jaclyn's palm was getting wetter & wetter. As we enjoyed the night (lights) view of the western and central part of Singapore, the Balloon suddenly stops. Our professional Pilot informed us that we have reached the halfway mark of 80 metres, which is about 40 storeys high.

Ohhhhh Mine!!!!! "It's only halfway????" someone exclaimed!

James replied: "Ya!Dun worry ladies & gentlemen, dun look down, look far instead!"

After our once in a lifetime HotAir Balloon Flight of only 8mins, we proceed to Raffles City for our desert treats! :)

As I was waiting for my ice-cream to arrive, I noticed that, Jaclyn's order of long glass (Chocolate Dipp) has arrived afterr 15 mins of waiting, but where is mine? I waited for about another 10 mintues, then I saw the manager, then realised that I'm still waiting for my order, she immediately checked it out the order chit with her girl who is doing the ice-cream. Then she realised that, she misread the orders and thought only one order, so after Jaclyn's order, she just chunk it aside. Poor me, waited for ice-cream to arrive till I'm drooling liao.

However, despite the misread of the girl, I do admire and speed she prepare the orders, she is fast and yet accurate & know where & when to put what. Not forgetting the good initiative by the manager. 3 Cheers for them! :)

Some comments for this branch at Raffles City, generally, there was this waiter who was more interested in salvaging your thirst then helping to clear the mess at the pantry area. He was carrying that flask of iced-water around keep asking and refilling patron's glass. I think, some of them are more interested in their orders of ice-cream then the iced-water which they can easily get it at home. Think the managers should also task someone to clear up the mess (all the used glass, bowls etc) instead of letting them stack up and placed at an area where some of the patrons (eg myself) can "enjoy" the ugly view of dirty/used utensils stacking up.

After our desert, we proceed to the MPH Bookstore (just infront of the Haagen Dazs), so convenient, to check out some baby food. End up, we got 2 books on how to play with Baby & Toddler, using the $50/- voucher which my team won 3rd prize for essay writing competition.

All Thanks to Ms Sam & Ms Woo, without you giving us the chance & encouragement, don't think our group will have the drive to finish the essay and even clinched a 3rd Placing!

After our shopping ard 10.30pm, we got to go home and "play" with our dear Nicholas liao! ;)

TOP 10 THINGS I KNOW FOR SURE!

"What do you know for sure?"

Have you ever been asked such a question? And if so, how did you answer it?

Chances are, most of us would probably stall for time if the question was ever asked. No doubt it's a question rarely asked and it does require us to think long and hard about it. Below is a list done up by Michael Angier, founder and president of SuccessNet. Do read up and try coming up with your own list.

1.
We are Responsible for Our Life.And nobody else. Although all success requires the assistance and cooperation of others, our success can never be left to anyone else. Luck is not a strategy.

2.
Life is Short. Whether we live 20 years or 100, our lives pass quickly. All the more reason to spend our life doing what we love. Since we never know how much time we have left, we should live each day as if it is our last—for it just may be.

3.
You Can't Learn Less. We can only add to our knowledge. We don't have to give some of it up in exchange for new knowledge. Our ability to absorb and retain knowledge may just be unlimited.

4.
Clarity Leads to Power. When we're clear, we're more effective. Our clarity reduces our mistakes and enables us to enlist the help of others. We are more powerful when we are clear, and we are weaker when we are confused.

5.
What You Sow, You Reap. This is also called The Law of the Farm or The Law of Reciprocity. In order to continue to receive we must give.

6.
You Can't Un-ring a Bell.No one can change what's already happened. Whatever is done is done. It's up to us whether we use the experience to learn or allow ourselves to be run by the experience.

7.
It Takes a Long Time to Build a Good Reputation and Only a Short While to Ruin it.Trust and credibility is built slowly but can be lost almost instantly.

8.
If You Don't Believe in Yourself, No One Else Will.People don't respect or follow anyone who doesn't have confidence in themselves. I think the Universe tends to trust us to the degree we trust ourselves.

9.
It Doesn't Take Guts to Quit. Anyone can quit. And most people do—on their dreams and on themselves.

10.
We Can Accomplish Anything We Want, Just Not EVERYTHING We Want. It's too big a world. There are too many options, too many things and only a certain amount of time.

Action Point What's YOUR answer? How would you answer the question: “What do you know for sure?”

~~~Life~~~
In life there are moments, when you miss someone so much, that you wish you could grab them out of your dreams and hug them tight!
When a door closes,
Another one opens,
But often we stand there so long looking at the closed door,
That we do not see that one that's opened.
Do not look at physical appearances, they can be deceiving.
Do not look at riches,
For they are only temporary.
Look for someone who makes you smile.
Because sometimes it only takes a smile to brighten up a very dark day.
Look for someone who makes your heart sing.
Dream what you want to dream;
Go where you want to go;
Try to be who you really are;
Because life is short, and often only gives one chance to do things..
I wish you in life good fortune to feel good;
Many trials to remain strong;
Some tears to remain human;
Lots of hope, to become happy.
The most splendid future will always depend
Upon the necessity to release the past;
You cannot move forward in life
Unless you learn from your past mistakes and move on.
